Why This Matters
Residential Agriculture makes up only a small portion of Hyrum’s currently mapped zoning area. The proposed rezone near 400 East 300 North would change approximately 14.5 acres from Residential Agriculture (R-A) to Residential (R-2). When only about 197.6 acres of R-A land are currently mapped in Hyrum, each rezoning decision deserves careful consideration.
Keeping Hyrum rural is about protecting the agricultural land, open spaces, scenic views, and rural character that make this community what it is. Residents deserve the opportunity to understand the proposal, review the information for themselves, and make their voices heard before a decision is made.
